Holga 120N ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I was fascinated the moment I picked up the Holga 120N. It is so light and I was intrigued by the simplicity of it! I wanted to see what I could do with it! I found research on Shoot it with Film, specifically relating to double exposure with the Holga 120N . I have always been interested in double exposure shooting with my digital camera and never even thought to do it with my 35mm camera. I am going to try it with my 35mm camera, but I am also going to try it with the Holga 120N.  Some shots I tried: From the angle of my stomach Double exposure without changing to next frame Multiple exposures in different positions while moving to next frame The Results: << BeYou.BeTrue.   Where My Eyes Cannot Go .................................................................................................................................................................... The explanation: This could have been taken so many ways. This was not the original outcome I was hoping for, BUT I really liked the results. Although not completely clear, the mirrors were to represent a space which we cannot always see, a reflection of who we are, or the environment in which we are in. The top image, it appears that maybe light got it, OR it was the mirrors reflecting within the experimental camera that created the white effect. At first, I was disappointed, but then I realized it actually fits with "where my eyes cannot go". I thought it went well with the topic, and also the mirror concept. Gives it a little bit of a mysterious effect. There are so many places my eyes cannot go within these images. Behind the cement block, into the mirrors, into the sky. I know these...

  Duration .................................................................................................................................................................... The explanation: I had a hard time figuring out what to do for duration! At first, I took 5 images of a sand glass, showing the sand passing through time. The images did not turn out well, and so I came up with duration of this project, as a whole. These images show the start, taking selfies (alot), and playing with mirrors, reflections, and them combining the mirrors and a self image throughout the length of this project.            I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on these images! 

Self Portraits .................................................................................................................................................................... The explanation: It took a while to get these portraits. I could not get a clear image, even if my life depended on it! I always set it on the ground, but the movement of the tape and the wind always created a little bit of movement. These are the ones I liked the most as my self portraits. I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on these images!

Second pinhole camera! An experimental one!  I am excited to see how this turns out! .................................................................................................................................................................... 1. Gather supplies and create a sealed container! I forgot to take pictures of supplies I used, but include: an old phone box, painted popsicle sticks, broken mirror, and electrical tape.  Check! 2. Make two pinholes to allow the light to shine through, and expose the paper inside to light. Check! 3. Come up with some cool idea for the inside! I decided to use broken mirror pieces, with a separator from the phone box to be able to expose two images. The goal is to see how the mirror pieces interfere with the light being exposed to the paper. Check! 3. Try it out! Making my very own camera! What an experience this will be.  Let's check out my process! ................................................................................................................................................................... 1. Gather supplies, including: a shoe box, scissors, tapes, spray paint, can, aluminum foil and pins. Check! 2. Make the camera box my own, with spray paint and acrylic paints. Check! 3. Test it out! The first few attempts... Attempt 1: ~5:05pm - cloud cover, with sunny periods, 2 second exposure,  handheld Result: White Attempt #2: ~ 5:15pm - cloud cover, with sunny periods, 10 second exposure, handheld Result: White, with some image showing Regroup: Looked at the pinhole and there may have been black paint covering it, so I re-poked the pinhole Attempt #3: ~ 5:25pm - cloud cover, sunny periods, 10 second exposure, set on ground (steady with hand) Result: Blurry image, but an image began to ...
